Louisville Slugger Meta Bat

Swing for the fences with the Louisville Slugger Meta Fastpitch Softball Bat. This powerhouse bat features a stiff, three-piece composite design for a solid connection on every hit. The key to its performance lies in the innovative, patented cantilevered gapped wall barrel. This design maximizes the sweet spot and expands its forgiveness on off-center hits, while also delivering incredible pop for explosive power on well-placed balls. Overall, the Louisville Slugger Meta is a great choice for serious fastpitch hitters looking to crush the ball and dominate the game.

Perfect bat for:
Serious fastpitch softball players who are strong hitters and prioritize power hitting.

Key features include:

MASH Composite BarrelUtilizes gapped wall construction in a re-engineered design for improved durability and performance.

All three are multi-piece composite bats with large sweet spots. The Meta prioritizes pure power with its stiffest swing feel and gapped wall barrel for maximum pop, but feels less forgiving. The DeMarini CF Zen offers similar power with a potentially softer swing feel thanks to its technology, but the Meta might have a slight edge in pop. The Easton Ghost caters to players who want power but also prioritize a lighter swing weight, making it a good option for those who find the Meta or CF Zen too stiff.

Progression of the Louisville Slugger Meta Bat

The Louisville Slugger Meta Fastpitch was released in 2022. It uses a mesh composite bat similar to Slugger’s use in slow pitch softball, an upgraded connection piece (compared to the LXT), and a new endcap. The 2023 version also added a new endcap, but other than that, there are no changes.

👍 Pros
The velocity off of this bat is noticeably better than previous models. The ball jumps off the barrel for hard gap shots and good deep lasers.
I bought this bat 3 months ago and I’m so happy I did. It feels amazing in the hands. It is 100% the best bad I’ve ever had.
Bought this bat for my 15 year old. She has only used it once in a game but at practice says she loves it. Very satisfied.
👎 Cons
Not durable. I used this for 1 season, it developed a rattle. I replaced it and had the same issue.
After using it on the tee and in the cage, it began to bend/warp where the two pieces connect. I haven’t even hit with the bat live.
The bat lost its pop soon after I bought it.
The Meta is ideal for strong hitters who can handle a bat with a little more weight. It's a great choice for high school and college players who love to drive the ball and hit for extra bases. It has a large sweet spot and some forgiveness on off-center hits, ensuring that even mishits tend to carry well. If you want some power, the meta is for you.
