DeMarini CF9 Softball Bats
The DeMarini CF9 Fastpitch Softball Bat is designed for serious hitters seeking maximum power. Its CF (Continuous Flex) barrel technology creates a large sweet spot, forgiving off-center hits and generating explosive pop. The two-piece composite construction balances swing weight and control, allowing for powerful and precise hits.
Key features include:
Paraflex Plus Composite Barrel | Engineered to deliver a massive sweet spot for consistent contact and power. |
D-Fusion 2.0 Handle | Dampens vibrations and improves bat control. |
Type-V Connection | A two-piece connection that joins the barrel and handle. It's designed to improve barrel performance and create a more responsive feel on contact. |
Tremor End Cap | Lightweight and durable to maintain barrel integrity and optimize power transfer through the swing. |
Balanced or End-Loaded Swing Weight | The DeMarini CF9 has various drop weight options, affecting the swing weight. |
Multiple Length and Weight Options | Comes in various lengths and weights, allowing players to choose a bat that best suits their height, weight, and hitting style. |
Top Competitors
All three are two-piece composite bats with a large sweet spot. The DeMarini CF9 prioritizes a balanced swing with exceptional pop thanks to its CF technology that flexes for a trampoline effect. The Louisville Slugger LXT sacrifices some swing feel for potentially the most raw power with its stiff LXT technology. The Easton Ghost X offers similar power potential to the DeMarini CF9 but with a lighter swing weight for more control.
Progression of the DeMarini CF9 Softball Bats
The DeMarini CF (or Continuous Fiber Composite Technology) first made its way into Fastpitch Softball in 2007 as a multi-piece hybrid bat. The barrel was long, the sweet spot large, and the swing felt natural. In 2008, DeMarini released the first CF baseball bat. Over the years, the DeMarini CF underwent continuous evolution and refinement with launches of the CF4, CF5, CF 6, CF7, CF8, and the CF9.
As composite bats continue to grow in popularity, DeMarini has shifted its focus with the CF towards a fully composite construction, leading to the introduction of the CF Zen.

My 17 year old daughter plays competitive softball all over the country and she loves this bat. Great product. |
Daughter loves this bat. Can’t wait for the upcoming season. |
Tons of pop of this bat, easy to find the sweet spot even on mishits. |

We were forced to regrip it to make it usable. I expected better quality for a bat right out of the gate. |
Only two tournaments and the end cap on the bat came off. Not a good start. |
The bat developed cracks in the barrel of the bat after just one year of usage. This was used as an individual bat and not a “team” bat. |
The girls on my team love to hit the CF9 in the cage. It's really solid. It makes a good sound when you hit it, and sound is really important. You can tell if somebody's hitting the ball solid off the bat. The CF9 is also a super versatile option for players seeking a powerful bat. Players have the ability to choose between a balanced or a more power-oriented swing weight, depending on the model.
