DeMarini CF8 Softball Bats
The DeMarini CF8 Fastpitch Softball Bat is designed for young players transitioning to more powerful swings. It features a Paradox Plus Composite Barrel for a larger sweet spot and impressive pop, while the D-Fusion 2.0 handle reduces vibration and redirects energy for a smoother swing and solid contact feel.
Key features include:
Paraflex Plus Composite Barrel | This is the core of the bat and is designed to deliver a large sweet spot for consistent contact and power. |
D-Fusion 2.0 Handle | Helps to reduce vibration and improve bat control. |
Stacked Barrel Construction | Creates a larger sweet spot and a stiffer feel on contact. |
Dish End Cap | This concave design creates mass stiffness at the end of the barrel while driving energy back to the sweet spot for more power. |
Top Competitors
All three are two-piece composite bats with a large sweet spot for control. The Easton Ghost prioritizes an ultra-light swing weight, ideal for younger players who might find the CF8 a bit heavy. The Louisville Slugger Proven boasts an even larger sweet spot for maximum forgiveness, while the CF8 offers a balance of pop with its Paradox Plus Composite Barrel. Ultimately, the choice depends on the player's needs: super light swing (Ghost), maximum forgiveness (Proven), or a taste of power with control (CF8).
Progression of the DeMarini CF8 Softball Bats
The DeMarini CF (or Continuous Fiber Composite Technology) first made its way into Fastpitch Softball in 2007 as a multi-piece hybrid bat. The barrel was long, the sweet spot large, and the swing felt natural.
In 2008, DeMarini released the first CF baseball bat. Over the years, the DeMarini CF underwent continuous evolution and refinement with launches of the CF4, CF5, CF 6, CF7, and CF8. As composite bats continue to grow in popularity, DeMarini has shifted its focus with the CF towards a fully composite construction, leading to the introduction of the CF Zen.

The CF8 is the perfect bat with tons of pop, even if you play in cold weather. |
Love this bat. My daughter dominated the tourney. Everyone wanted her bat. Great pop and a super comfortable grip. |
This was my first time clearing the fence and it felt so awesome. The CF8 has great pop to it and is the best bat I’ve ever used. |

My daughter is a 12u player on a very highly skilled team. The CF8 has cracked within weeks of getting it. |
The bat is significantly heavier than previous models. Something to keep an eye on. |
A month after purchasing the bat broke on my daughter. She does not hit the ball hard and it still broke, very disappointing. |
The CF8 was known for its unmatched pop. Back in its prime, it sported a huge sweet spot and a composite barrel. Many players credit the CF8 with helping them launch some of their most memorable home runs. Due to evolving bat regulations, the CF8 with its high pop is no longer legal for play in most organized leagues. However, some leagues still allow its use, and it remains a popular choice for recreational play or batting practice.
