Some of the new technologies that the head features include a contoured scoop and a double bar offset to increase ground ball capabilities and pocket accuracy. The contoured rounded scoop helps players quickly scoop up ground balls and funnel the ball towards the center of the channel, especially during a scrum or on fast breaks. The double bar offset increases strength and pocket depth by adding more plastic for the head to be reinforced by, therefore increasing the width between the top rail and the ball. Warrior’s Evo X was one of the first heads in the Evo series. At the time of its initial release, it was one of the most advanced heads on the market. The Evo X is designed for advanced attackmen. It features a wide face shape and a flared sidewall design that’s very tailored toward offensive play. In addition to its face shape, the scoop is highly curved to facilitate middies trying to scoop up ground balls on the run. If you’re a player who is always involved in the transition, the Evo X will lend itself well to your style of play. The only downside of this head is that it doesn’t have as many sidewall holes as others do. So long as you have your head strung correctly for your position though, it’s not that big of a problem.
