Nike CEO 2 Lacrosse Heads

The Nike CEO 2 lacrosse head enhances the original design for faceoff midfielders and offensive players. Nike focused on creating a more aggressive head to dominate offense and face offs. It features a shortened throat for better hand placement, an aggressive scoop for easier ground ball pickups, and a high-pinch profile for accurate passes and shots.

Perfect head for:
Offensive players and face off midfields who seek heightened cosmetic appeal with modern textures and aggressive lines.

Key features include:

An aggressive scoop for ground balls while attacking or dominating the faceoff
A shortened throat creates closer hand placement, generating power and control
Flex Zones and stiff shoulders add strength and stability

Top Competitors

While the Weapon X prioritizes raw power and leverage with its aggressive design and stiff construction, the CEO 2 strikes a balance between power and control. Its mid-stiff pocket and wider face shape offer strong clamps and a good ground ball feel for contested situations. On the other hand, the Mark 2F is a specialist designed for pure ground ball dominance with its angled scoop and stiffer build. Its shorter throat provides increased leverage, but its lack of versatility might not suit players who need to adapt to different face-off situations.

Progression of the Nike CEO 2 Lacrosse Heads

The CEO lacrosse head series features three models: the CEO, the CEO 2.0, and the CEO 3.0. Here's a breakdown of their progression:

Nike CEO:
  • The original Nike CEO head was designed for elite offensive players.
  • It gained popularity among face-off specialists due to its optimal stiffness and unique flex point, offering an advantage in securing ground balls and winning draws.
  • The head featured a high and wide scoop, well-suited for mid-pocket stringing styles.
Nike CEO 2
  • An updated version of the original.
  • It retains the strengths of its predecessor, including the optimal stiffness and a high, wide scoop.
  • Modernized design and improved functionality compared to the original CEO.
Nike CEO 3:
  • Building on the success of the previous models, the CEO 3 prioritizes face-off specialists even more.

  • It features a shortened throat design for closer hand placement, enhancing power and control during face-offs.

  • A zero-friction scoop for easier ground ball pickups from various angles, aiding offensive plays.

  • Updated flex profile to provide face-off players with multiple options for controlling the draw efficiently.

👍 Pros
The perfect faceoff head. Well-built and can withstand a lot of punishment.
Really nice head. The ball stays in the pocket. Provides clean, accurate shots.
Takes a while to break in but once it's good to go, this head is smooooth.
👎 Cons
Hybrid flexes like this head may have issues with spooning, but it's still better than the original CEO.
Less flexible than the original CEO.
Was a big fan of the original CEO, but can't stand the 2. The shorter throat and throat plug create all kinds of durability issues.
With the CEO 2, Nike tried to step up the model slightly. They made the plastic more durable, so it would rebound a bit easier and hold its shape better than its predecessor. They reworked the scoop so you could win it forward to yourself more easily. They reworked the throat of the head so you could pinch and pop it backward without the head pinching too much. It's a head made for a faceoff guy.
