-   I switched to the L3 from the old model, and it's a perfect upgrade. The plastic is lighter and stiffer, and the face shape is great. Although there are plenty of stringing holes, I wish the sidewall holes were slightly larger.
    
-   Can be strung in various ways to fit any pocket location (high to low). Suitable for traditional style. Feels stiff. If you liked Lakota 2, you'll love L3.

The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.

This head comes in an offense and defense model. The offense is easy to use. ECD always produces a perfect head. It's made with light and durable material. You can get a lot of use out of the Rebel without really trashing it. And the defensive head is made to be stiff. It won't bend in any way, which defensemen like, especially when playing at the higher level. The more checks you throw, the more warped a head can get. The sidewalls are solid on the Rebel. A player can throw some pretty strong checks.

This is my favorite defensive head by far. It has a wider face than the first generation to make knocking passes down and transition that much easier. The head is incredibly stiff and holds its shape a lot longer and better than other defensive heads. I used this head through all 5 years of college, and the 2.0 is on both sticks I use right now for my men’s league. It's really durable, and you can throw up a lot of hard checks. It will for sure cause some pain when you use it.

I like how it strings, it has a ton of sidewall holes so you can make your pocket how you like it. It does just about everything, it shoots well, and the passing is good. The Hammer 900 is a top defensive head, crafted for the elite defensemen. Designed with STX’s new Enduraform plastic, this head has great shape retention and is incredibly stiff. This head is just like the Tank 2.0, you can throw some pretty hard checks with it. It has a tighter face compared to most defensive heads which makes control of ground balls much easier.

This head is all about playing the transition game. The scoop is designed to be smooth to make picking up ground balls that much easier. The sidewall hole design on this head opens the pocket design to so many stringing opportunities. It’s a super stiff head and weighs in at around 5.15 oz.

The STX Surgeon 500 head uses brand new ACP technology and features a contoured throat to create a top-of-the-line head for elite attackmen. The All Climate Performance (ACP) technology helps the head maintain its stiffness and accuracy in extreme weather conditions without any issues. The contoured throat helps create a heavily pinched, tight channel to optimize pocket depth and ball control by also making a deep offset. The STX Surgeon 500 is legal at the NFHS and Youth levels and is the perfect head for attackmen looking for a head designed for ball control and strength.

The Surgeon 500 by STX is one of the most popular heads among attackmen. Its super narrow face shape is one of the best for an attackman. It also features a very stiff scoop, which helps create a channel for increased accuracy on shots, while at the same time helping to generate more power. This head is not legal for current high school or college play, since it does not meet the three-inch throat rule. As a result, the Surgeon 500 is mainly recommended for youth players or adult rec league players, where the rules are not as strict.
