Top Competitors

The Super Novium boasts a lightweight build with their high-end 25K carbon, offering a nice balance of power, pop, and agility. However, this build may sacrifice some durability. The Jetspeed FT5 Pro takes a more traditional mid-kick approach, prioritizing a good balance between powerful shots and responsiveness for various offensive plays. It might not be the lightest option, but offers a well-rounded feel. The Nexus Sync prioritizes powerful slapshots, making it ideal for generating explosive shots. However, it may lose some finesse with its emphasis on power.

Progression of the Warrior Super Novium

The Super Novium was preceded by the Novium Pro. The Super Novium features a few upgrades over its predecessor:

  • Weight reduction: The Super Novium sheds 30 grams from its predecessor, coming in at only 330 grams, making it Warrior’s lightest hockey stick to date.
  • RL 199 construction: This new construction utilizes high strength fibers layered in an optimal pattern to create a high strength stick that remains lightweight.
  • Blade: The Super Novium features the new FuelCore T blade construction to create a durable blade with optimized puck feel and responsiveness.
👍 Pros
The weight makes it feel like nothing and the grip makes it so I never drop my stick.
The Super Novium is lightweight and the balance is the best I've ever played with.
Carbon fiber all the way. Makes for a durable stick that handles well.
👎 Cons
Very nice stick, just isn't that durable. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer but I'm not going to count on it.
The stick broke in the third game when I ran into another player, not even on a shot.
I play pretty rough. And although this stick handles well, it's already cracked.
The Super Novium has a mid-kick point and balances quick release and power generation, making it great for snapshots and slap shots. Thanks to its high-grade carbon fiber construction, the Novium has an excellent puck feel during stickhandling and passing. The Minimus Carbon 1000 technology seems to have improved the stick's durability compared to some earlier Warrior models. However, as with all high-performance sticks, longevity can vary based on usage intensity and player style.
