The Bauer Nexus 2N Pro hockey stick features a mid-kick flex profile for a balance of power and accuracy. It offers upgrades in performance, weight, and design over the 1N, including the new DuraFlex resin system for increased strength throughout the stick. The 2N Pro also features a R-Lite blade that allows for reduced weight and improved feel.

Top Competitors

The Trigger 8 Pro has a low kick point and prioritizes powerful shots with a stiffer flex profile. It is great for generating high velocity on slap shots and wrist shots but may not offer as much feel for puck control as the Nexus 2N Pro. The HZRDUS PX has an ultra-low kick point and boasts the quickest release of the three sticks, ideal for players who want lightning-fast snaps and wrist shots. The ultra-low kick point might require some adjustment and can sacrifice some overall feel for the puck.

Progression of the Nexus 2N Pro

The Bauer Nexus 2N Pro Hockey Stick was preceded by the Nexus 1N Pro. The 2N Pro introduced several upgrades over its predecessor:

  • Lighter weight: Achieved through a combination of Advanced Carbon Layering (fewer layers) and a new R-Lite blade core with a fiber-reinforced dampening layer. This resulted in a 12 gram weight reduction compared to the 1N Pro.
  • Improved shot release: The 2N Pro boasted a 15% faster slap shot release and a 12% faster snap shot release thanks to the R-Lite blade and Advanced Carbon Layering.
  • Higher balance point: The lighter weight and R-Lite blade core resulted in a two-centimeter higher balance point, making the stick feel lighter and more maneuverable.
  • Increased durability: Bauer's new DuraFlex resin system in the shaft offered 20% more flexural strength compared to the ElasTech material used in the 1N Pro.
👍 Pros
The stick is very light and it is easy to control the puck.
Fantastic stick with great pop, one of the best slap shots ever. I highly recommend this stick.
The lightest stick in the world, hands down the best stick I’ve used.
👎 Cons
Bought in September, broken in October. I was hoping it would be more durable.
2 sticks have broken in just a couple months from catching passes in practice, the season hasn’t started yet.
Very thin shaft, makes it hard to grip.
The Nexus 2N Pro is the latest Bauer Nexus stick to be built with traditional stick geometry, meaning a simple, streamlined shaft transitioning directly into a blade. It's the last of the classic mid-kick sticks. It is one of their best sticks. It is super lightweight and utilizes the best technologies that Bauer has to offer while still giving a classic feel.
