Progression of the Bauer Ag5nt

The Bauer AG5NT hockey stick is preceded in its Innovation series by the Bauer Sling. The AG5NT features a few upgrades over its predecessor:

  • Reduced weight: Weighing only 335 grams, the AG5NT is Bauer’s lightest stick yet, creating a nimble stick that makes the fastest releases of Bauer’s lineup.
  • Boron: The AG5NT is the first stick to utilize boron fibers in its construction, creating a stronger and stiffer stick than ever before while also reducing weight and maintaining puck feel.
👍 Pros
You can immediately notice a harder more powerful shot, I love how light the Ag5nt is.
All my shots are hitting the net, great stick, very light, with great handle.
I love the new grip, makes it easier to hold onto when gloves or grips get wet.
👎 Cons
Two broken sticks in two games. Both breaks are in the same spot,.
Cracks are so bad that its going to snap in the middle very soon.
This stick does not hold up to the hype. Maybe it's just because I am a beginner, but it's hard to play.
The Ag5nt is a high-end, lightweight stick with a quick release. It's made with a new material called BORON, which is said to be lighter and stronger than carbon fiber. If you're a player who relies on a lot of slap shots, you should choose a stick with a higher flex rating. The lower flex rating of the Ag5nt is better for players focusing on quick releases and dekes.
