These irons feature a cut in the speed pocket slot to enable more flex. More flex equates to more distance and a higher launch. In addition, TaylorMade added a Dynamic Feel System to help with the vibration at impact by using dampening compounds. The mid-size head on the PSi irons looks and feels solid, and produces a nice sound. The head size stays the same with each club in the set, so you will experience consistency across the board. If they look too big to you, you might consider the PSi forged sets instead -- these feature a slightly smaller head.
