This USA bat is designed for little league or a pony leagues. It won't be a very high-performance bat and, in general, is designed for safety. Typically, your little leaguer, who uses the USA stamp, is a player at an entry-level ability. With that said, the Ghost X Hyperlite was one of the best available USA bats. But any USA bat is going to be a mediocre performer overall. The Ghost X Hyperlite is very lightweight and very easy to swing. Smaller players do well with it.

* My son used this bat for about 2-3 months before small cracks in the bat started to form. He still used it because his old bat (30-inch -8 Demarini Zoa) was broken. It is an amazing bat but it probably won't last a full season in 13U baseball because of the speed.
* My son's new bat, a 30" (-8), has a small 1/2" crack after just two sessions of coach pitch BP with around 50 hits. It's brittle and we've never used it on a tee or machine. I'm surprised at how quickly it broke.
* I wish they were made stronger. It has great pop, great swing but the durability is lacking. Our original purchase cracked in a month and our replacement cracked in 2 months.

The Hype Fire is the hottest, lightest swinging bat right now. The swing rate is very fast. It's a balanced, two piece composite bat. The first ones that came out had some breakage issues but they are now on that bat's second gen. We've not seen any of the new ones breaking. And to top it all off, it has the coolest paint job. The flames are yellow, orange, and red. The players love that.

features the company’s Hyperlite material, which makes for an astonishingly fast swing. And while this release is beloved by us and others, many hitters have told me that
nothing beats the 2019 Easton Speed release, which became famous for its green handle, black barrel, and outstanding production at every level and age group. Regardless of which model you use, one thing is clear: hitters craft a special connection with their Easton Speed bats. Swinging a Speed might be all you need to accelerate your game.

Although Easton’s Ghost X bat series was discontinued in 2019, it continues to haunt pitchers (including me). The 2018 Easton Beast X is the new version of the 2017 Easton Z-Core Hybrid. They both use the same Z-Core barrel that was made famous in the 2016 version. If you’re a player who likes a slight end load to their bat, wants the largest barrel on a hybrid bat, and seek a good value on a performance two piece bat, the Beast X could be for you. In terms of marketing appeal and some minor upgrades, the 2018 Beast X Hybrid does come equipped with a new name for its barrel. The alloy is an upgrade, in Easton's view at least, in terms of durability and performance. The tactile difference between 2018 and 2017 is the thicker grip (1.4mm), when compared to the 1.2mm grip for the 2017 Z-Core Hybrid.
