A single break outer roll makes the pad have a softer feel while still maintaining its shape throughout the season. Used by the likes of Carey Price and Malcolm Subban, this pad is a game changer. We’ve seen goalies using larger knee pads pads these, so to account for this, CCM offers different Velcro options on EFlex III pads to have provide for a more open knee if you desire. * These skates are incredible! Super lightweight and feels responsive, which is exactly what I was looking for in a skate for quick cuts and accelerations. My strides feel really explosive.

If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

This led to skaters overtightening their skates, damaging the quarter packages and eyelets on the lacing. CCM seriously considered these issues when designing the new and improved, full composite JetSpeed ice skates. The upgrades to the Jetspeed line include: 



* 40 grams lighter than their RBZ predecessor
* Contoured RocketFrame™ full composite boot. 
* Double-stitched tendon guard to improve their durability.
* A JetProtect tongue. The first layer of the tongue contains thick felt, then a layer of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, and finally, a layer of HD (High Density) foam. The outer portion of the tongue features a protective ridge for the laces to rest upon, a "heavy weapon" in the battle against lace-bite.
* Custom support insoles which come in high-arch, mid-arch, and low-arch options.

The AS3 Pro is a carbon composite one-piece boot. It's a higher-level skate with a premium liner for moisture wicking, an interchangeable, custom-fitting tongue, and an improved blade lock system that secures the blade to the holder. Swapping out blades is super easy. The AS3 will have a more anatomical, snug fit. It has good heel locking, giving you reall good acceleration and power.
