The M5 Pro is focused on giving a lot of power. Normally, you'd hear a Supreme or Bauer Pro model going for $900+. The M5 Pro is different than that. It has all the Pro features, but for a cheaper price—more of a mid-range level price. So the M5 Pro has all the same comfort features, durability, the ability to change your steel, and the traditional supreme anatomic fit. With the new Fit System mechanisms, the M5 Pro allows you to customize whether you want it wide, narrow, etc.

* While the stiffness is good for intermediate players, some advanced skaters might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible for their needs. If you're a powerful skater who demands maximum energy transfer, you might want to consider a stiffer boot from the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite or Supreme lines.
* I like my skates tied tight. And due to this, the top eyelets of these skates did not last much beyond the warranty period. 
* The hard plastic eyelet material is impossible to get tight around upper foot and ankles. The boot is very low volume and shallow so I had to swap out for Supremes. Toe box is great though.

The 3x Pro is made of light materials and is super durable. It's a pro model, so it has top-level comfort with high-quality foam and an asymmetrical toe cap. The 2X Pro was such a hit, and it's kind of hard to follow up... but they made a decent skate with the 3X Pro.

* These skates are unbelievably light! The one-piece boot and PowerFly holder really make a difference. They feel very agile and responsive on the ice, allowing for quicker turns and faster strides. My skating has definitely improved since switching to the HyperLite 2.
* The HyperLite 2 skates are some of the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. The liner is soft and the foam padding helps eliminate pressure points. The new fit system with variable flex zones seems to conform well to my foot shape.
* Great skates, the 2's are very similar to the original HyperLite's, 2's have a better release to change the steel, and a different tongue.

CONS



* There's no getting around it, these skates are expensive. They're definitely an investment for serious players only.
* A huge issue for me is lacing up because there are NO metal eyelets for the laces. So to tighten, l have to pull on the laces sideways (if l pull straight up there's a good chance the laces will rip through the carbon fiber) making it difficult to get a good grip.
* Paying well over $1k for skates and additional steel, I feel like the skates should really last longer than two years.

There is not as much difference between the HyperLite and the HyperLite 2 as there was between the Hyperlite and the 2x Pro, but the 2 is really just a lighter skate. More comfort features have been added also, and there is a new locking mechanism. The HyperLite 2 still offers the quick release, but it's a different upgraded style, which makes it easier to switch the steel in and out. The holder itself is different and extremely lightweight.

* Blade holder cracked after a deflection during a game, and the material of the boot is already falling apart. Had these for about 4 months before having to buy Hyperlites because of the poor construction.
* The Vapor 3X doesn't offer any heat-molding capabilities and while the liner is comfortable…I have some wicked pressure points and am disappointed with the customization options.

The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. * These skates are incredibly light!  The HyperFlex technology with the carbon composite boot makes a huge difference. They feel very responsive and agile on the ice, allowing for quicker starts, faster turns, and overall better maneuverability.
* They felt weird at first, but after two skates I’m realizing some benefits. My turns are sticking better and my stops are harder and more precise. I will never be great, but these skates are helping me be the best I can be.
* After baking and profiling, they are outstanding. I have about 10 skates on them and couldn't be happier. Out of the box comfort is great and forward flex is much better than my old skates.

CONS:



* I’m questioning it’s durability especially for the $1,000+ price tag. The tongue looks good but the red fabric has already torn in only a month. I just replaced his laces as they were cut in several places which appear to be a result of the plastic lace eyelets.
* The Vapor Hyperlite leans towards a stiffer flex profile for maximum energy transfer.  While great for powerful skaters, this stiffness is too much for a beginner like me.
* After 6 months of use, i’m forced to buy another set because the plastic lace system at the top of the skate was broken and rendered the skate useless.

I've had multiple pairs of the HyperLites, both retail and custom-made. It's like the HyperLite took the best elements from all the top Vapor skates and made them even lighter and more comfortable. The Hyperlite is the lightest skate I've ever used. It's almost so light that you need to get adjusted to putting pressure differently using your blades because heavier skates do give you a little extra weight. 

They have a comfort liner within the skate and right along the ankle, which keeps your ankles from wearing down. It's very durable, too. I've used a pair for about three years, skating a lot, and they've held up perfectly. Also, it's a great travel skate. Everything is weight-based if you're flying somewhere, so the HyperLite is an excellent option.

One of the things that makes the 2X Pro great is how light it feels. It's an extremely lightweight boot that is also really durable. It's a predecessor to what you see in the HyperLite these days. Very durable but also very light. So the 2X Pro is perfect for agility, cutting back and forth across the ice. And, it still has good power. At the professional level, some NHL players use the 2X Pro and have no issues. It’s a skate that will last you. Mine are still fine to play in even after years. It's a skate built to last.

It's so focused on comfort and this keeps players happier. Because when you're starting out, comfort is a bit more important. As people become more comfortable with their game or their skating, and they start doing different cuts and using their skates differently, the wear will happen in different areas and degrade this skate faster than higher-end models.

Many people compare the FT4 Pro to the HyperLite, but the FT4 has much more power. It's an incredibly powerful skate, and the fit is perfect. I'll see a player going really fast and think wow, look at that. Oh yeah, they are wearing the JetSpeed FT4 Pro.

If you gave someone a new pair of 2X Pros and the 2Xs, blindfolded them, and asked them to figure out which was which, they would have difficulty distinguishing between the two.

The Bauer Vapor X800 Skates feature Bauer’s tapered fit system. This is designed for players who are looking for more heal lockdown and a standard width in the toe box. The boot features Curv composite material, which is easily moldable for a customized fit. The Vapor X800 also uses the Hydra Max mesh liner, which provides the player with advanced moisture management and durability. It also has a 3-piece Form Fit tongue which provides additional comfort and protection. These skates are mounted on Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holders, which provide you with the option of quick blade swaps at the pull of a trigger.

A middle-of-the-line skate with high-end features, Bauer Supreme 170 skates offer excellent performance and durability without having to break the bank. Much like the 190 and MX3 models, the 170’s are made of 3D Ultra Lightweight Tech Mesh that is heat-moldable for a personalized fit and comfort. The traditional white-felt tongue also includes extra protection against shots and lace bite without losing its comfort. Most notable from previous Supreme models is the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder, which allows you to replace broken blades that may have dulled steel in just seconds, even mid-game. The boot is lined with antimicrobial protection, and enhanced breathability continuously keeps the skate light and comfortable.

This a great skate with respect to comfort, performance, and price point. The boot offers foot and ankle support without compromising the skate’s comfort and weight. Another benefit of these skates is how quickly they break in. For a firm boot, they are quite adaptable and a perfect buy for someone who skates less frequently and wants to quickly break in a new skate. On the ice, Supreme 170 skates feel great, from the strong rebounding tendon guard on the back to the soft white tongues in the front. They also look very sharp with their primarily black design, very similar to Bauer’s top Supreme skate.
