PROS:



* The one-piece boot and carbon construction are super stiff and really transfer energy into your strides. My slapshot has gotten noticeably harder since I switched to these skates. Plus, the Powerflex tendon allows for a full range of motion for powerful strides.
* By far the most comfortable skate/boot I've ever put my feet into...like warm melted butter.
* For a high-performance stiff boot, these skates are surprisingly lightweight and maneuverable. The Step Steel blades are sharp and give you excellent edge control. They helped me improve my agility on the ice.

CONS:



* These skates are definitely at the top end of the price range. They're a great skate, but you're paying for the premium features and performance.
* These are very stiff skates designed for powerful strides. They require a lot of leg strength to use effectively.

The AS-V Pro offers a close, professional fit, and a lot of power. I really love the quick acceleration. The number one thing with this skate is comfort. The padding really secures the ankle and foot while keeping the flexibilityity to turn and move. The tongue has a funky design, but it allows you to get a full range of motion without feeling insecure in the skate or like it's going to fall off or wobble.

The heat moldable tight-heel fit increases comfort and durability, while the boot widens towards the toe to provide more wiggle room (particularly for players with wider than average feet). The skate is lined with SpeedCore2 foam, which molds to the foot. The liner also features TotalDri technology to help wick away moisture. These wheels have a sweet look, and are comparable to the higher end Jetspeed FT1 skates from CCM. With an all black contoured boot, complemented by low-key red and white flare along the sides and back of the tendon guard. In terms of performance, they are comfortable and are quite form-fitting. The soft tongue and narrower heel pocket helps to keep the foot steady, without any noticeable pressure points. All in all: these skates offer a lot of comfort and a sharp look at a mid-range price.
