- I'm 81, and this driver with the senior shaft has totally eliminated my fade and increased distance 20-25 yards on off center hits. 
- This is the most consistent and longest driver I have ever played. It’s at least 10 yards longer than my previous driver. Super easy to hit.
- This driver is by far the most forgiving and the feed back is unbelievable.


**CONS:**
- The feedback from the face feels terrible. Every shot on the face felt identically dead. 
- The club seemed to play a little longer than the actual length, maybe because of the increased swingweight. So it seemed a bit harder to square up than the Sim2 Max I had before. 
- There's less audio feedback than with titanium heads (good and not-so-good shots sound the same).

TaylorMade R15 drivers are a low spin driver with a large sweet spot and are available in a classic black or matte white finish. The Front Track Adjustability system acts like a Speed Pocket to reduce spin and expand the sweet spot for maximum ball speed and to retain consistent ball speed on mis-hits. There are two 12.5 gram sliding weights in the sole to give the golfer more options for launch conditions, shot shape, and overall performance. Designed to combine maximum distance with optimal adjustability, the R15 driver features a lower and forward center of gravity (CG) to increase launch angle and decrease spin. The R15 driver offers more adjustability with a 4-degree loft sleeve in addition to the 25 grams of adjustable weight in the soled.

### Expert Notes

The R15 is one of the longer drivers on the market, and you will not be disappointed by its performance. It has an excellent feel and you will know exactly where you missed it (if you do miss). Looking down on the white crown, the driver is extremely forgiving and even your miss hits will end up almost in the fairway. Designed for lower handicap players, this club mainly hits the ball straight. You won’t experience much curve on shots with this club at all. Like the SLDR, this driver uses a low-forward center of gravity, which produces the lowest spin possible to increase distance and trajectory. Lastly, the R15 is very adjustable, making it a great option for a variety of players.

Callaway XR 16 drivers offer golfers more speed and forgiveness with an aerodynamically shaped club head and face. In order to reduce aerodynamic drag, Callaway partnered with Boeing experts to redesign the head shape and re-engineer the Speed Step to reduce weight and increase speed. R-MOTO Face Technology helps create a thinner and lighter face, which combines a faster face with extreme forgiveness to help maximize ball speed and distance. The R-MOTO ribs also enable the face to flex at impact which also contributes to increased ball speed. Callaway’s XR 16 is an excellent driver for all players, but middle and higher handicaps will likely experience the greatest gains in performance.

### Expert Notes

If you were a fan of the original XR Driver, you’ll really like the XR 16. The Speed Step is closer to the crown on this version, which makes this club extra forgiving. You will notice the head shape is longer than the XR as well. Callaway also made the R-MOTO ribs longer to enable the face to flex more, resulting in increased ball speed. You will enjoy hitting this club, as it is one of the best drivers Callaway has made to date.
