-   My son loved this bat from day one. After three weeks of use the plastic piece where the shaft meets the barrel cracked. Definitely expect something better than this for $450. Haven't started the warranty process yet so we'll see how that goes.
    
-   The bat handle now telescopes into the barrel after the junction cracked. We had expected better quality for the price and it's hard to accept a replacement that arrives 2-3 weeks later at best.

The Goods is a top performer and the 2024 model is the most expensive hybrid bat on the market. It's an end loaded bat for that power hitter in your lineup. The alloy is strong, and it has a good whip to it. Overall, The Goods is in the top five in the hybrids for both BBCOR and youth. The longest lasting metal bat series on the market is still at its peak. Rawlings legendary Velo series returned in 2022, with a Velo ACP release that I’ve heard hitters say offers unparalleled balance at the plate. Over time, the Rawlings Velo series has evolved by incorporating the ACP (Accelerated Carbon Performance) line that adds extra carbon in the barrel, which we’ve heard does a lot to increase pop. While Velo’s aren’t the best looking bats you’re going to find, they make up for the plainness with top-notch performance. Rawlings’ resilient Velo series should continue to be a favorite for hard-nosed hitters who prefer production over flash.

During the 2018 season, the Beast X Hybrid was the successor of the Easton Z-CORE baseball bat. The Beast X Hybrid is constructed with Advanced Thermal Alloy, also known as ATAC alloy. ATAC alloy is responsible for the Beast X Hybrid’s pop --  or its explosive sound. The Beast X Hybrid comes with Easton's X-tended barrel design that features Z-CORE internal core technology. This lengthy barrel results in a massive sweet spot. Easton also added a 1.4mm Hyperskin grip to each Beast X Hybrid bat, which guarantees zero sting in the hands on mishits. The 2018 Easton Beast X is the new version of the 2017 Easton Z-Core Hybrid. They both use the same Z-Core barrel that was made famous in the 2016 version. If you’re a player who likes a slight end load to their bat, wants the largest barrel on a hybrid bat, and seek a good value on a performance two piece bat, the Beast X could be for you. In terms of marketing appeal and some minor upgrades, the 2018 Beast X Hybrid does come equipped with a new name for its barrel. The alloy is an upgrade, in Easton's view at least, in terms of durability and performance. The tactile difference between 2018 and 2017 is the thicker grip (1.4mm), when compared to the 1.2mm grip for the 2017 Z-Core Hybrid.
