This listing is for a nice pair of La Sportiva Hi5 Rocker Alpine Touring Skis.  They are 181 cm. in length.   These skis are in good condition.  The top sheets are nice, the edges are sharp and the bases are smooth.  They just had a full, professional tune on a million dollar ski tuning machine (please see picture 13).  No bindings are included.  They were only drilled once, and binding hole plugs will be included. Without giving up La Sportiva's traditional lightweight and touring sensibility (it has the same poppy, lightweight Karuba paulownia wood core as Sportiva's rando-racing legend the RSR), the Hi5 features a big ol' Hi-Rise early-rise shovel that floats through the deepest powder you'll be able to find, and has traditional camber underfoot to keep it edgy when you encounter sketchy hardpack during your tour. Since it's a touring ski, the Hi5 places a premium on lightness, and so forgoes metal in favor of dual laminates: a tri-directional fiberglass layer and a bi-directional carbon/fiberglass mat keep things plenty stiff enough to ski hard in variable conditions, without the inconvenience of heavy, spirit-crushing metal layers. There are also rubber reinforcements in the tips, tails, and edges, to dampen vibrations for a smoother, more comfortable ride. ABS thermoplastic sidewalls and 1.8mm steel edges can take a beating (even though you'll never ever ever hit a rock), and the holes in the tips and tails accept pre-cut La Sportiva skins to save you some hassle on the skin up, and give you more time to float through delicious pow.
