Details The Cascade CPX-R is the latest version of the popular CPX lacrosse helmet. Cascades designers were inspired by the automotive industry by establishing a more protective and aerodynamic R Series Shell. With this inspiration, the Cascade CPX-R will have better symmetry and balance by installing a back ridge design that shifts the weight more towards the center of the helmet. The CPX-R now has the ground-breaking SevenTechnology liner system that effectively transfers energy from direct high energy impacts. When a collision occurs, the SevenTechnology liner system compresses laterally displacing energy within seconds, and then resets to its original state for the next hit. One feature that stands out in the Cascade CPX-R is the NEW SPRfit system which is an adjustable occipital pad that can be resized on the fly to get a better 360 degree contoured fit. This will ultimately allow the player to tighten the helmet to his liking while also keeping it in an optimum position for protection. With this feature, the CPX-R is categorized as a one size fits most due to the SPRfit system.

The Cascade CPX-R Lacrosse Helmet highlights Cascade's innovation for developing players. It features an adjustable SPRfit system for a customized fit and a "tail fin" design for better weight distribution and balance. This helmet offers improved protection and adjustability for youth and high school athletes.

This is a very light helmet and offers much less in terms of protection than the higher-end models. This is particularly relevant in head-to-head collisions. But an eight-year-old isn't getting hit by a 200-pounder, so they don't really need much heft in the helmet department. Should be noted, there's no sizing with the CPX-R. The helmet just has an adjustment feature at the base of the neck that you can pinch.
