The alloy undergoes a 3-stage thermal treatment process that ultimately produces a bat with a better feel, more forgiveness and more performance. As well, Marucci bucks the common thought that a one-piece bat is going to sting the batter's hands on a miss-hit. They have built this CAT9 with their AV2 anti-vibration knob and it keeps nearly all vibrations out of the handle of the bat.
